{The $6 Date}

This is the story of the six dollar date.  The six dollar date that, somehow, turned into the twenty-three dollar date.
It all began with a coupon.  You know how I am a sucker for a good coupon.
It was a buy one get one free coupon for entrance into a Blues baseball game.

How fun, I thought!  Hubby loves baseball; it will be a blast.  And, it was.
For all you SLO dwellers kids 12 and under are free.  They have jump houses, foul balls galore, and great kid activities during the 7th inning stretch. They even have grassy areas where people lounge on chairs and blankets.  Perfect for wee ones.
One ticket is $6. Such a cheap date!
Then, we needed food.  Scott saw a buddy who had a linguica sandwich, so of course hubby had to have one too.  $12 later, we each had a linguica sandwich.  Later, I realized that there were actually $4 hot dogs that I had overlooked. Oops.
A $2 beverage later and we were up to $21.
Then, we thought, “Heck with it” and we splurged $3 on the most deliciously fake nacho cheese nachos ever.  They were BOMB.
All in all, it was worth the $23.  Oh, we’d do it cheaper the next time, but for a few hours of entertainment on a summer evening with my love:  Priceless!
{What inexpensive dates are your favorite?}
